NZ national missing on the Gold Coast found ‘safe and well’

UPDATE @ 10.50am: A New Zealand national who disappeared while holidaying with family on the Gold Coast has been found.

Queensland Police confirmed the 46-year-old was found safe and well this morning.

“The 46 year-old man reported missing from Mermaid Beach since Friday December 8 has been located safe and well,” they said in a statement.

EARLIER @ 6.15am: CONCERNS are being held for a New Zealand national who has disappeared while holidaying on the Gold Coast with family.

The man was last seen leaving a resort hotel on the Gold Coast Highway at Mermaid Beach around 11.30pm on Friday December 8 and was believed to be heading to Surfers Paradise.

According to police, the 46-year-old has made no contact with his family and his disappearance is very out of character.
