Missing fisherman found off Cape York
There’s been a happy ending to the search for a man who went missing during a fishing trip on Cape York.
He was with his workmates when he walked off towards a waterhole at Lakefield National Park on Sunday afternoon.
When he didn’t return, the group raised an alarm and a search was launched.
The man, believed to be aged in his 50s, ended up walking out of bush, safe and well, on Monday morning.
Meantime, the search continues for a woman, believed to have been taken by a crocodile while swimming at Thornton Beach at Daintree, north of Cairns.
