A MAN who was reported missing after crashing his car on the NSW South Coast has been found dead in a river.
Police said the 26-year-old’s body was found in the Bermagui River near South River Road at Bermagui just after 5pm on Saturday.
It’s understood the man was found with injuries that he is believed to have sustained in a car crash on Friday night.

Police say the man was driving a 2003 Subaru Impreza which crashed into a fence outside a property on West Street at 8.45pm.
The man allegedly fled the scene of the crash and was reported missing from his home nearby the following morning.
Police from South Coast Police District are investigating the bizarre circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
They particularly want to speak with anyone who had contact with the man, or saw him on Friday night or Saturday morning.
The man is described as being “extensively tattoeed”, 182cm tall and having an athletic build and a shaven head with stubble.
Police said the man has a rose tattoo on the back of his left hand and tattooes on his neck.
Whilst investigations are ongoing, police have said they are not treating the man’s death as suspicious at this stage.
