UPDATE 2:15 PM | A WOMAN and child missing from Queensland’s Gold Coast have been found in NSW.
Peta Norris, 35, and the one-year-old girl were last seen at a resort on Marine Parade in Coolangatta around 10.30pm on Thursday, August 24.
Concerned for the pair’s welfare, police went public with an alert early on Saturday morning. Police said they were concerned for Ms Norris’ welfare as it was out of character for her to not make contact with her family.

Thankfully, police released a statement on Saturday afternoon, confirming that the woman and child had turned up “safe and well” south of the border.
Police thanked the public for their help in finding the pair.
