A Mongols bikie member has been arrested at gunpoint, after a standoff with specialist police on the Gold Coast today.
It’s believed the 28-year-old man was seen in public wearing a prohibited item of clothing associated with the outlawed motorcycle gang.
Police then carried out a search warrant on his resident, allegedly locating the clothing, as well as a quantity of performance and image enhancing drugs, including steroids.

The man has been granted bail and will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on March 25 to answer the charges.
Detective Inspector Glen Donaldson of MOCS says the Queensland Police Service adopts a very strong approach to policing the visible wearing of outlaw motorcycle gang ‘colours’ in public places.
“We will continue to be unrelenting in our efforts to use serious and organised crime legislation to disrupt and prosecute members of organised crime syndicates who pose a risk to our community,” he said.
Channel 9 has released exclusive footage of the man being arrested this afternoon.
