While a 48-year-old Helensvale man was charged with assault of a police officer following an incident on April 23 when police attended his home to issue an official consorting notice.

Maxima officers also raided two homes at Labrador and Biggera Waters, where a 27-year-old Biggera Waters man and 31-year-old Southport man were arrested and charged with habitual consorting.

The pair have been remanded in custody to appear at Southport Magistrates Court at a later date.

Following the day of what police described as “tactical action”, a 32-year-old man and Mongols OMCG member handed himself into Southport Police Station where he was arrested and charged for a breach of bail.

Detective Senior Sergeant Troy Lehmann of Taskforce Maxima said police will continue to pursue OMCG members on the Gold Coast who consort as a “deterrent from establishing, maintaining or expanding criminal networks”.

“The relentless pursuit of offences committed by OMCGs is in line with our commitment to make the Queensland community safe,” Detective Senior Sergeant Lehmann said.
