More exposure sites listed related to infected couple from Melbourne

The list of exposure sites in Queensland continues to grow, as authorities investigate the travels of a couple who escaped Melbourne’s lockdown.

The pair tested positive on the Sunshine Coast this week, after travelling via regional roads from Melbourne last week.

They crossed into Queensland through Goondiwindi, stopping off in Toowoomba, and finally arriving at their parent’s house on the Sunshine Coast.

Authorities are desperately working to contact trace, identifying 17 close contacts yesterday.

The list of exposure sites continues to grow, with more venues added and updated overnight.

Most of them are around the Sunshine Coast area.

It comes as regional Victorians are now allowed back into the state, with the area no longer considered a hotspot.

However, Greater Melbourne is still under restrictions, despite the city coming out of lockdown overnight.
