A 34-year-old Broadbeach man was issued with a notice to appear in relation to possession of dangerous drugs, possession of controlled drugs and fail to dispose of a syringe.
Detective Inspector Brendan Smith from Task Force Maxima said, “The offences detected as part of this enforcement action provide further evidence of the variety of criminal behaviour these gangs are involved in.
“It is of particular concern that the offender in this instance is employed as a personal trainer by a fitness business on the Gold Coast and accordingly our investigations will be ongoing. The origins of these drugs are often unclear, they can be illegally imported or homemade and people need understand that to use them without proper medical supervision could have a lasting negative impact on their health.
“Investigations are ongoing and these gangs need to understand we will be unrelenting in targeting their unlawful activities.”
