A crime scene has been set up at a burnt out mosque in Victoria with authorities confirming the blaze is being treated as suspicious.
The Islamic Society place of worship on Bostock Avenue in Geelong was completely destroyed when the fire broke out around 2.10am on Tuesday.
Seven crews rushed to the scene and took almost an hour to bring the inferno under control, and thankfully nearby buildings were saved.

Members of the mosque were devastated when they arrived to pray this morning, only to find the charred remains.
An arson chemist and detectives will be on scene today.
