Mosque painted with hatred north of the Coast

VANDALS have spray painted hate-filled messages on a mosque in southern Brisbane.

Police were called to the prayer centre in Rocklea around 7pm on Wednesday, after members made the discovery.

According to an ABC report, messages such as “Muslims are evil and have no respect for our ways” and the word “die” were strewn all across the entrance of the building.

It’s the second attack on a Queensland mosque in less than a week, with vandals defacing a building in Mareeba in north Queensland last Friday.

That attack was condemned by Queensland Police Commissioner Ian Stewart, who assured Muslim community leaders they would investigate any attacks against them.
