A Brisbane woman accused of torturing her 10-month-old baby girl and setting up an online fundraising campaign to support her recovery has been granted bail.
The 27-year-old woman faced Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning, charged with one count each of torture, grievous bodily harm and fraud.
The prosecution alleged the woman failed to provide adequate nutrition to her baby by not feeding her.

The woman is then alleged to have convinced strangers to donate money via an online fundraising site to help support her child’s recovery.
Police were alerted to the situation in July, after the infant was taken to hospital on a number of occasions earlier in the year displaying symptoms of malnourishment.
Following a protracted investigation, detectives arrested the woman on Thursday.
7News journalist Ben Murphy reported the woman was granted bail in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today to reappear at a later date.
