A MOTHER has gone on trial in Australia accused of sexually abusing her six-year-old daughter – twice.
It’s alleged the now 12-year-old girl was sexually abused by her mother in their rural South Australian home between September 2008 and March 2009.
The court was today told the woman’s daughter first revealed the abuse to her foster mother in 2012, three years after she was removed from her mother’s care.

The AAP reports that, during today’s opening day of the trial in the South Australian District Court, the 53-year-old woman pleaded not guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a person under 14.
A social worker is expected to give evidence about the family’s living conditions at the time of the alleged abuse, alongside the girl’s school teacher.
