Mother pleads guilty to abuse, manslaughter of son

A SYDNEY mother has pleaded guilty to killing her young son, who is alleged to have suffered months of abuse before his death.

The woman, 27, appeared via video in a Sydney court this morning, where she pleaded guilty to 13 charges, including manslaughter, reckless wounding in company and possessing and disseminating child abuse material.

She also pleaded guilty to using a child in her care to produce abuse material.

The mother will appear in the Supreme Court in May.
