A teenage friend, Ryan Hodson, will also stand trial over the 21-month-old’s death.

Mason was living with his step-father Mr O’Sullivan and the then 17-year-old, Mr Hodson at the time of his death, while his mother Ms Lee lived nearby.
Today in the Brisbane Magistrates Court medical experts gave evidence that Mason had been vomiting bile in the five days leading up to his death.
The court also heard the boy could have been quite easily saved if he had been taken to a hospital.
