Motorbike rider in serious condition after nasty Hinterland crash

A motorbike rider is being assessed for serious injuries after colliding with a car on a notorious Hinterland road.

Emergency services were called to Springbrook Road, near Pine Creek Road, just after 9.00am on Tuesday after a car and motorbike collided.

The motorbike rider then fell down an embankment and crews are still trying to bring them up safely.

Queensland Ambulance has confirmed paramedics, including Critical Care, are assessing the rider, who is in a serious but stable condition.

Motorists are being warned of delays around the area, with all lanes affected.
