Motorcyclist caught travelling 100km/h over the speed limit in NSW

A man has been charged after he was caught allegedly travelling more than 100km/h over the speed limit.

Police said that just after 5.00pm on Sunday, officers detected a gold Suzuki GSX 1300 motorcycle allegedly travelling 174km/h in a 110km/h zone on the Hume Highway at Tumblong.

Police attempted to stop the rider, however, it’s alleged he failed to stop and reached speeds of up to 214km/h.

After a short pursuit, the 32-year-old rider stopped and was charged with drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous and exceed speed more than 45 km/h.

His motorcycle was also confiscated for three months and rider’s licence suspended.
