A MOTORBIKE rider is fighting for life in hospital after being hit by a car at a busy intersection in south Brisbane this morning.
Emergency services rushed to Peel Street around 8.20am, where they found the rider with extensive abdominal and pelvic injuries.
Metro South Senior Operations Supervisor Chris Perera said numerous crews were called to attend.

“We had two stretcher units, the High Acuity Response Unit, Critical Care Paramedics and supervisors on scene,” Mr Perera said.
Police were forced to shut down Peel Street at Merivale Street as paramedics worked to treat the patient. It has since re-opened
They have since been rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
The Queensland Ambulance Service has asked motorists to take care on the roads due to the rain.
“We remind all motorists to drive to the conditions and make sure their headlights are on for safety.”
