Motorcyclist killed after horror collision in northern New South Wales

A motorcyclist has tragically died after he was hit by a car in northern New South Wales yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Kyogle Road in Cawlonga near Lismore around lunchtime following reports a motorcycle had collided with a ute.

The rider, a male believed to be in his 60s, was assessed at the scene but despite desperate attempts, he couldn’t be saved.

The driver of the ute, a 32-year-old woman, was uninjured in the crash but taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Investigations into the circumstances around the crash are continuing today with anyone with information urged to come forward.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
