Motorcyclist killed in head-on crash

A MAN has been killed in a horror head-on crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Central Queensland.

It happened on Round Hill Road at Agnes Water, south of Gladstone, just before 8pm last night.

Police said a Holden Commodore travelling north collided with an oncoming Triumph Motorcycle.


The rider of the motorcycle – a 57-year-old man from Hervey Bay – was thrown from the bike on impact.

Sadly, he sustained life-threatening head injuries and could not be saved.

Queensland Ambulance confirmed the rider died at the scene.

The 20-year-old driver of the car was not physically injured in the crash.

Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
