Motorcyclist killed in horror head-on crash with sedan

There were tragic scenes west of the Gold Coast overnight after a motorcyclist was killed in a horror crash with a car at Beaudesert.

Initial investigations suggest the motorbike and a sedan were travelling in opposite directions along Beaudesert-Boonah Road. near Upper Allan Creek Road in Bromelton, when they collided.

It happened just after 6.15pm, with emergency crews rushing to the crash site.


Despite desperate attempts by paramedics, the 59-year-old male rider of the motorcycle could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the car managed to escape physical injury.

The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing to investigate, with police appealing for anyone with information or dashcam vision to come forward.
