Motorcyclist killed in New South Wales as holiday road toll soars

The holiday road toll continues to climb in New South Wales with the death of a man near Queanbeyan.

Emergency services were called to Munro St at Crestwood around 10pm on Thursday after reports a motorcycle had crashed into a sign.

The 22-year-old rider died at the scene.

His death takes the New South Wales holiday road toll to 22 as Police continue to plead with drivers to be safe on the roads.

On Thursday a 72-year-old woman was killed after her van collided with a truck near Gunning.

Investigations are also continuing into a horror crash on Boxing Day that has left actor Jessica Falkholt and her sister fighting for their lives in hospital.

The accident near Sussex Inlet left three people dead including Ms Falkholt’s parents.

It’s been revealed the driver of the other car was on his way home from a methadone clinic in Ulladulla when his vehicle crossed onto the wrong side of the Princes Highway, hitting the Falkholt’s Mazda.
