Motorcyclist killed in South Australia crash

A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a car in the historic tourist town of Burra in South Australia.

Police said the two vehicle collided at the intersection of the Barrier Highway and Copperhouse Road just after midday on Friday.

The male motorcyclist sustained life threatening injuries.


He was rushed to the local Burra Hospital where he sadly died shortly after arriving.

Traffic restrictions were in place along the The Barrier Highway for eight hours following the crash.

The State’s road toll has now risen to 50 compared to 49 at the same time last year.
