Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash with ute at Oxenford

A male motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital with serious neck and internal injuries after colliding with a dual cab ute at Oxenford.

The accident happened around 3.30pm on Monday, on the Old Pacific Highway.

Police said initial investigations suggest the driver of the ute was attempting to perform a u-turn north on the Highway, when a motorcycle travelling in the same direction collided with the front right side of the vehicle.

The 32-year-old male rider was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

The 40-year-old male driver of the dual cab escaped unharmed.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating
