Motorcyclist seriously injured in Gold Coast Hinterland crash

Investigations are underway after a nasty crash in Canungra yesterday afternoon.

Police say a motorcycle was travelling southwest along Lamington National Park Road, when it collided with a dark grey Hyundai Tucson around 4.30pm.

Emergency services were called to the scene, before rushing the male rider to hospital.

He’s understood to be at the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

While the driver and a passenger in the Hyundai Tuscon were not physically injured.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam vision to contact police.

With so many families taking to the road and pavements on bicycles during Covid 19 isolation, I would love to see a council promotion of tolerance towards cyclist and a prohibition in bumper stickers that read, ” f*** CYCLISTS”.
