Motorist dies in hospital after horror smash with truck in Tamworth

A MAN has died in hospital after a car and truck collided in Tamworth earlier this month.

The accident, involving a Holden Barina and a truck, happened at the corner of the Oxley Highway and Goddard Lane about 3.10pm on Tuesday 17 October.

Police said the driver of the Barina,  a 29-year-old Korean national, suffered head injuries.


He was taken to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital before being transferred to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney where he died yesterday afternoon.

The driver of the truck, a 32-year-old man, was not injured.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
