Motorist hospitalised after early morning crash on Gold Coast

A motorist has been injured in a single-vehicle crash on the Gold Coast in the early hours of this morning.

The accident happened at the intersection of Rivendell Place and Reserve Road in Upper Coomera just after 12.35am on Sunday.

The motorist suffered suspected chest and spinal injuries.

They were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed the patient was transported in a serious but stable condition.
