Three hospitalised after cars collide at Tamborine Mountain

UPDATE: Three people have been taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in the Gold Coast hinterland.

The accident happened at the intersection of Hartley Road and Long Road at Tamborine Mountain just before 7.00am on Thursday.

One person was initially trapped in one of the vehicles, but they have since been freed with minor injuries.

In total, two males and a female were treated at the scene by paramedics.

The trio have all been taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

EARLIER: Emergency crews are currently on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in the Gold Coast hinterland.

Two cars are believed to have collided at the intersection of Hartley Road and Long Road at Tamborine Mountain just before 7.00am.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said one person remains “entrapped” in one of the vehicles.

Their injuries and condition remains unknown at this stage.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
