RACQ spokesperson Renee Smith said the south east had entered the price hike phase of the cycle, with jumps at the bowser in some areas of more than 15cpl.
“In some areas ULP is this morning selling for 149.9cpl, and motorists wanting to save money should buy now at those service stations yet to increase prices,” Ms Smith said.
“The fair price to look out for today is 132cpl. There is still plenty of ULP available at this price or less, but that cheap fuel could disappear at any time.”
Today’s ULP averages in SEQ:
Gold Coast – 137cpl
Brisbane – 137cpl
Sunshine Coast – 137cpl.
