Gold Coast and Tweed motorists are being reminded that the Tugun tunnel will be closed for night work tonight.
It’s part of the three monthly maintenance on the tunnel, carried out by the NSW government, which will involve inspections and other activity.
From 8.00pm to 6.00am tonight, Wednesday night (November 18), and Thursday night (November 19), the north and southbound lanes of the tunnel will be closed.

Traffic will be diverted through the Kennedy Drive on and off ramps tonight, while the Gold Coast Highway interchange will be used on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Residents who live near the intersection may also experience additional traffic noise as a result of the diversions.
Motorists are being urged to allow at least an extra 10 minutes on their commute times in either direction.
