Motorists warned to avoid M1 after serious traffic incident

Motorists are being warned of massive delays on the M1 after a major traffic incident at Coomera.

The accident involving a motorcyclist has happened in the southbound lanes just past Exit 57.

Southbound lanes are currently closed with delays already stretching back to Pimpama.

There are also some delays for northbound traffic through the area.

Emergency services remain on scene and are expected to be there for some time.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
