A major road in the hinterland has been closed this morning after a cement truck crashed down an embankment.
The accident happened near Eagle Heights Road in Tamborine Mountain just before 6.00am.
The driver of the truck, a man, was treated at the scene by paramedics for leg injuries.

He has since been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Queensland Police have warned motorists that Mt Tamborine Road will remain closed from 9am to 1pm today as crews work to recover the cement truck.
“There will be no access on this road for this timeframe,” officers said.
Motorists are being advised that alternative access can be obtained through Canungra or Oxenford via Henri Roberts Drive.
