Multi-vehicle crash brings traffic to a halt on M1

Traffic is building southbound on the Pacific Motorway following a multi-vehicle crash this afternoon.

A number of cars are believed to have collided southbound near Exit 49 at Pimpama around 3.30pm.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson has told myGC it’s not known at this stage whether anyone has been injured.

According to the Department of Transport and Main Roads, at least one lane has been blocked as emergency crews respond.

Delays are being experienced in the area, with motorists being urged to allow for extra travel time during this afternoon’s peak hour rush.

Every day…the same thing…always in the same section of the motorway. Do people know how to drive here or what?

Only a matter of time before they reduce the speed limit to 80km rather than police those who don’t know how to drive.
