Two injured in multi-vehicle crash on M1
UPDATE: Two people have been injured in a multi-vehicle crash northbound on the Pacific Motorway this afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to the accident south of exit 49 at Pimpama just before 2.00pm.
Multiple lanes were blocked as firies and paramedics worked to free those involved in the crash.
A woman has been transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
A man has also been transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, with major traffic delays being experienced between Pimpama and Helensvale.

EARLIER: Motorists are being warned to expect lengthy delays this afternoon with a multi-vehicle crash closing two lanes northbound on the Pacific Motorway.
Emergency services rushed to the scene south of exit 49 at Pimpama, just before 2.00pm after receiving reports of a crash.
Three people are believed to have been injured.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, with major traffic delays already being experienced between Pimpama and Oxenford.
