Multiple Gold Coast suburbs set for water interruptions today

A number of planned water interruptions are taking place around the Gold Coast today.

Residents in Merrimac could experience issues between 9.00am and 2.00pm, as Council works to replace water hydrants in the area.

Streets affected include Merridown Drive, Colonsay Crescent, Mull Court, Bowmore Court and Gooding Drive.

Gaven residents may experience similar issues, as Council works on the water main network in the area, though it’s only expected to affect Peony Way and Columbine Way between 9.00am and 2.00pm.

Later tonight, crews will be working on installing a water valve in Surfers Paradise.

Markwell Avenue and Enderley Avenue could experience water interruptions between 10.00pm and 5.00am tomorrow.

Meantime, the Old Pacific Highway is expected to be affected when crews disconnect the water main in Oxenford.

That will take place between 9.00pm and 2.00am overnight.
