“Multiple patients” treated after trio trigger savage street brawl in Sydney

PARAMEDICS have treated multiple patients after three men triggered a brutal brawl on a street in Sydney’s Inner West.

The violent scenes played out on the corner of Enmore and Metropolitan Road’s around midnight on Saturday.

Police said the trio unleashed a flurry of punches on a 28-year-old man who rushed to the aid of a woman they’d accosted on the street.

The three thugs allegedly punched the man repeatedly while the woman ran from the scene.

A second woman and four men, aged 21, 24, 27, and 33, were walking along the street and saw the trio bashing the man. Police said the group went to intervene but they too were set upon.

The offenders then allegedly got into a car and drove at the 27-year-old man, causing him to fall over.

They then got out of the car and assaulted the man before returning to the vehicle and driving away.

Paramedics were called and treated multiple patients at the scene for various injuries.

Police said injuries included lacerations, dislocations, concussions and severe bruising.

Investigators are calling for witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to come forward.
