Children with significant injuries after car crashes into school

UPDATE at 4:45 PM | THREE children have been rushed to hospital with significant injuries after a car crashed into a school north of Brisbane.

It happened at the Australian Christian College at Cottrill Road at Caboolture shortly after 3pm.

At least three students, believed to be a young boy and two teenage girls, have been seriously injured.


The trio is believed to have sustained significant leg, arm and pelvic injuries.

They were treated by critical care paramedics and the High Aquity Response Unit at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

Two of the students were transported to Queensland Children’s Hospital, while the third was taken to the Prince Charles Hospital.

All three are believed to have been transported in serious conditions. Their ages are not known.

It’s understood the driver of the vehicle and several other students are being assessed by ambulances officers at the scene.

EARLIER at 4:00 PM | FOUR people are being treated by paramedics after reportedly being hit by a vehicle at Caboolture, north of Brisbane.

Emergency services were called to reports of an incident involving a vehicle and “multiple pedestrians” on Cottrill Road shortly after 3pm.

The incident is believed to have occurred at the Australian Christian College, with reports as many as seven students may have been hit.

Queensland Ambulance has confirmed paramedics are on the scene assessing four people, three of whom have “various limb injuries”.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident and the genders, ages and conditions of the patients are not yet known.

Multiple ambulance crews, including critical care paramedics, are on the scene.

Cottrill Road is lined by about 40 homes, as well as a primary school, a Christian College and a Presbyterian church.

FIRST at 3:45 PM | EMERGENCY services are on the scene of an incident involving a vehicle and multiple pedestrians in Caboolture, north of Brisbane.
