Five people have been assessed for smoke inhalation, after a reported lift fire at RACV Royal Pines this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Benowa just before 9.00am, where the whole building had to be evacuated.
It’s understood smoke was detected in three areas on the ground floor, with suspicions a fire had started in the lift.

Paramedics say they assessed five people at the scene, with two needing further treatment in hospital.
They were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable condition.
Fire fighters have confirmed the whole building was searched twice and everyone was accounted for.
A spokesperson says there are reports of complications with a distribution board and the elevator shaft.
Fire crews down scaled the incident at 10.18am and left the scene.
