Mum busted drink-driving with child in car after crashing into power pole

A woman has been caught drink-driving with her 12-year-old son in the car after crashing into a power pole in Sydney.

Police said about 9.00pm yesterday, a 44-year-old woman was driving along Victoria Road at Rydalmere when she collided with a power pole before crashing into a brick fence.

The woman was subjected to a breath test at the scene which returned a positive result.

She was taken to Granville Police Station where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.100.

The woman’s young son, who was in the car at the time of crash, was taken to Westmead Children Hospital for precautionary checks before being released.

The woman was charged with mid range drink driving and her licence was suspended and confiscated.
