Mum saves toddler from terrifying abduction attempt

Police are hunting a man following a terrifying attempted abduction of a 15-month-old boy from a children’s playground in Sydney’s west.

Officers say that on Thursday 25 May, the child was in the play area at Macquarie Street Mall in Liverpool when a man brazenly picked up the boy and began walking away.

The toddlers mother, who was standing a short distance away, yelled and ran towards the man who handed the boy to her before running off.
