Murder charges laid over suspicious death of Lismore woman

A woman’s been charged with murder and interfering with a corpse, after a woman was found dead in northern New South Wales last week.

The body of a 60-year-old woman was found at a unit on Rosedale Square, East Lismore, last Saturday morning.

Local police established Strike Force Boughton to investigate the circumstances around the woman’s death.

The investigations lead to the arrest of a 32-year-old woman from Maclean. She was arrested along McNaughton Place around lunchtime yesterday.

She’s been refused bail to appear at Lismore court today, charged with murder and improperly interfering with a corpse.

Investigations are continuing.
