THE young Gold Coast mother who was tragically killed in an alleged domestic violence attack in Molendinar will be farewelled today.
Tara Brown passed away last week, a day after she was allegedly run off the road by her ex-partner and beaten repeatedly in the head with a metal object.
The funeral for the 24-year-old mother-of-one will be held in Southport this morning.

Ms Brown’s death shocked the entire community and indeed the rest of the country, creating an outcry for more to be done to tackle issues surrounding domestic violence.
A family member took to Facebook to thank those that have reached out over the past week.
“Our family thanks everyone for the overwhelming support we have received and appreciate it so much,” the post on a tribute page read.
On Wednesday, Ms Brown’s former partner, Lionel Patea, faced Southport Magistrates Court where he was formally charged with Ms Brown’s murder.
He’s set to reappear in court on November 11.
