Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy was found unconscious with a blunt force injury to his skull in New South Wales yesterday.
About 5am, Thursday 12 November 2015, the 14-year-old boy was found on a cricket pitch in O’Neil Park Complex in Broken Hill.
The boy was unconscious and suffering serious injuries. He was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being airlifted to Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

He remains in an induced coma, with a blunt force injury to the base of his skull.
Police from Barrier Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and at this stage are unaware of how the boy came to be injured.
They are asking anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
