Mystery surrounds death of woman in NSW

POLICE have launched an investigation into the death of a woman, who passed away in hospital overnight.

The 51-year-old was taken to John Hunter Hospital on Friday 15 June with a number of severe injuries.

Tragically, she succumbed to those injuries and passed away overnight.


Mystery surrounds how the woman came to be injured, with officers now investigating the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.

“Detectives are investigating the events leading up to her death, after an incident in her home at Lemon Tree Passage on Wednesday 13 June was reported to police,” they said in a statement.

A post mortem examination will be conducted this week to determine the cause of death.
