A human leg has been found on a beach just south of Coffs Harbour, with reports the remains may be the result of a shark attack.
A member of the public came across the leg bone on North Beach at Mylestom just after 2pm on Tuesday.
Police quickly rushed to the scene and immediately began inquiries.

According to Nine News “the remains including a femur and tibia and foot bones were enclosed in what appeared to be a black diving boot.”
The leg will now undergo forensic testing to identify the remains.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
