NBA player gets shot in kneecap after leaving strip club

New York Knicks NBA player Cleanthony Early has been shot in the leg by masked robbers as he left a strip club.

Officials say he left the CityScapes gentlemen’s club in New York, in an Uber when the vehicle was surrounded by at least two other cars and as many as six men got out.

24-year-old Early handed over two gold chains, money, his phone and even the gold caps in his teeth before he was shot in the right kneecap.

Reports suggest Early and his girlfriend jumped into an Uber at 4:15am after leaving the Queens club.

They began fooling around in the back seat, not paying attention to where the car was going.

The cab drove a short distance to an industrial area, before three cars boxed the vehicle in and the robbery and shooting took place.
