One of the biggest names in basketball is coming to the Gold Coast next month!
NBA star Josh Giddey is heading to the glitter strip on May 7 to host two exclusive events, with basketball fans of all ages able to get up close with the Aussie champion.
The 19-year-old Oklahoma City Thunder player will kickstart his Gold Coast visit with a two-hour Basketball Camp for 8 to 17 year-olds at the Cararra Indoor Sports Centre from 3:30pm – 5:30pm.

Giddey is set share some of his hot tips and tricks with around 400 local kids, as well as sign autographs and take photos with attendees.
Gold Coast Basketball General Manager Joel McInnes said the camp is a great opportunity for up and coming players to learn from one of the best in the game.
“For kids to see someone that’s similar to themselves, an Australian guy whose journey has led him to the NBA, for them to be up close and see that and learn from him, is going to be phenomenal for them,” he told myGC.

Adult fans will also have the chance to hear from the basketball champion at an exclusive 3-course dinner at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort.
Giddey will be joined by other basketball legends at the event, including Chris Anstey.
In addition to a Q&A session, there will be a charity auctions and raffles with funds raised to go to Paradise Kids.
Individual tickets, as well as full tables, are available for the dinner, with around 500 guest expected to attend.
