Nerang shop taped off after fire breaks out
Investigations are underway after a fire broke out at a shop on the Gold Coast this morning.
Emergency crews were called to Nerang Street in Nerang just before 9.30am, following reports of a blaze inside a building.
A member of the public managed to extinguish the flames before crews arrived on scene.
Thankfully no one was seriously injured, with just one person treated by paramedics for a finger laceration.
A Queensland Police spokesperson told myGC a crime scene has been set up, with investigations into what sparked the blaze continuing.
At this stage, it’s not yet known if the fire is suspicious or not.
