New bus for Volunteering Gold Coast thanks to generous donation

More Gold Coasters will now have access to Volunteering Gold Coast’s transport services thanks to a generous donation from CSi Club Southport.

The local charity has received a new addition to their fleet, with the Southport club donating a 12-Seater bus.

Valued at $25,000, the bus will enable Volunteering Gold Coast to continue to provide community transport to seniors and people with disabilities or chronic illnesses all over the Gold Coast, a service they have been delivering for over 20 years.

Club Director Russel Baker said after deciding to downsize their fleet of courtesy buses from three to two, the decision to donate a bus to a local organisation was an obvious choice.

“CSi Club Southport is a community club and our focus going forward is to give back to our wonderful community,” he said.

“We found Volunteering Gold Coast the perfect organisation that could make use of the bus.”

Volunteering Gold Coast said in a statement “the bus is a significant and much-appreciated donation.”
