New clues in the search for missing Melbourne woman

It is being reported that the mobile phone of missing Melbourne woman Karen Ristevski was tracked to an area northwest of her home, the day she went missing in June.

Karen hasn’t been seen since June 29.  She is reported to have left the family home after fighting with husband Borce Ristevski over financial matters.

The Herald Sun reports that transmitter towers picked up the phone’s signal near Gisborne, 40 km northwest of her Avondale Heights home.

Her husband’s phone was 15 minutes away.

That data also indicated Mr Ristevski’s phone was switched off for about two hours on the same day.

When questioned by police, Mr Ristevski said he had driven his wife’s 2004 Mercedes-Benz coupe that day in an attempt to fix a faulty fuel gauge, before returning home.

On Thursday, A Current Affair revealed that Mrs Ristevski’s stepson Anthony Rickard had spoken to several media outlets in an attempt to sell an exclusive interview regarding his relationship with Mrs Ristevski for $200,000 – a claim which he has since denied.
