New details in Surfers Paradise balcony fall

More details have been revealed about the night a New Zealand tourist was allegedly murdered by a Gold Coast man, when she fell from his Surfers Paradise apartment balcony.

Secret recordings found by Police allegedly hear Gable Tostee choking and threatening to throw Warriena Wright from the balcony on August 8, after he claims she’s a “psycho”.

Ms Wright can be heard pleading with Tostee to stop and let her go home.

The pair met through the dating app Tinder and met up for drinks before Ms Wright accepted an invitation to go back to Tostee’s apartment.

It’s alleged they also have audio of a phone call Tostee made to his father right after the incident.

In this conversation, he says he only locked Ms Wright outside on the balcony, repeatedly telling his father he never pushed her.

Tostee maintains his innocence and is due to apply for bail in Brisbane’s Supreme Court on Monday September 8.
